Perhaps I'm biting off more than I can chew here (and I probably am), but I'm a little peeved that some customers don't leave feedback at The Scented Djinn's Etsy store after their purchase. Perhaps it's a case of being too nice to criticize, which is okay! Truly. If you are unhappy with your purchase, a private message and a workable solution is preferred over a full-on negative review in a public forum. I realize that not all my wares are your cup of tea, and that sometimes they may arrive in a 'defective' state, but I am willing to fix it if it's broken. On the other hand, if you're pleased, why not say so? Where it counts. On the Etsy reviews page. Every bit matters as I spend zero dollars on advertising. I'd much rather put my money back into the quality of the products I offer. It seems a much smarter disbursement of funds. Show your love. I'll show you mine in the goodies you buy.
*How to leave feedback on Etsy. Go to 'your account', click on 'purchases and reviews', then find the item you'd like to leave feedback on. It's odd that there isn't simply an easy-to-find 'leave feedback' link clearly visible. It's almost like they don't want you to leave feedback.
For some time now I've been struggling with keeping up with the Etsy shop, teaching online courses, writing tutorials, teaching in-person classes, and generally trying to figure out what you might like that I can make and sell. Sort of beating my head against the wall over it, actually. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to make something that I truly love, which explains why I can't keep stocked up on things in the shop -- no two soaps are ever the same, I throw some things together willy-nilly in the hopes you will like it when I'm not even 100% sure I like it! Well, no more of that. The products I contribute that I've felt a real connection with thus far are a few different bars of soap -- anything patchouli, the poppymint soap, which is a big favorite (of mine), kyphi incense of all stripes, hydrosols, and on the rare occasion, when I'm being true to myself, a perfume -- like Parma, or Atay. A few skin products I really dig, like the Strange and Unusua...
